When we compute style for elements inside a UA-internal shadow tree that
represent a pseudo-element (e.g ::placeholder), we actually run the
StyleComputer machinery for (host element :: pseudo-element).
While that lets us match the correct selectors, it was incorrectly
applying CSS inheritance, since we'd also then inherit from whatever was
above the host element in the tree.
This patch fixes the issue by introducing an inheritance override in
AbstractElement and then using that to force inheritance from whatever
is actually directly above in the DOM for these elements instead of
jumping all the way up past the host.
This fixes an issue where `text-align: center` on input type=text
elements would render the main text centered but placeholder text was
still left-aligned.
Inline nodes in our layout tree have a position, so let's show it. By
centralizing the logic for this, block nodes now lose their redundant
'content-size' dump info which is already part of the box model dump.
Browsers such as Chrome and Firefox apply an arbitrary scale to the
current font size if `normal` is used for `line-height`. Firefox uses
1.2 while Chrome uses 1.15. Let's go with the latter for now, it's
relatively easy to change if we ever want to go back on that decision.
This also requires updating the expectations for a lot of layout tests.
The upside of this is that it's a bit easier to compare our layout
results to other browsers', especially Chrome.
Before this change, we transferred the input element's line-height to
both the editable text *and* the placeholder. This caused some strange
doubling of the effective line-height when the editable text was empty,
pushing down the placeholder.
Adds additional padding to the end-side of the scrollable overflow
rectangle as necessary to enable a scroll position that satisfies
the requirements of `place-content: end` alignment.
When traversing the layout tree to find an appropriate box child to
derive the baseline from. Only the child's margin and offset was being
applied. Now we sum each offset on the recursive call.
