If the first request within TTL uses a small limit, larger subsequent requests will be incorrectly capped until cache expiry. Include limit (or a normalized bucket/max) in cacheKey, or always fetch/cache a fixed max then slice per request. This can serve cached results from an origin-less query to an origin-filtered query (or vice versa).
