## [Unreleased]
## [9.12.0] - 2026-04-11 - "Rayden UI, Puzzle Planning, and Skill Diagnostics"
> Installable skill library update for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Antigravity, and related AI coding assistants.

This release merges PRs #487 through #490 to expand the library with Rayden UI build workflows, puzzle activity planning, and skill-diagnostic analysis, while also repairing malformed YAML in `sales-automator`. It includes the required maintainer follow-up on `main`: PR metadata normalization for forked runs, README source-credit fixes, contributor syncing, and the canonical post-merge repository-state refresh before tagging `v9.12.0`.
## New Skills
- **rayden-code** - generates React + Tailwind code using the Rayden UI component system, token rules, and layout patterns.
- **rayden-use** - builds and audits Rayden UI components and screens in Figma through the Figma MCP with token enforcement.
- **puzzle-activity-planner** - creates classroom, party, and event puzzle plans with generator-ready links and prep checklists.
- **skill-optimizer** - diagnoses skill quality with session-data analysis and static checks across trigger quality, workflow fit, and token economics.
## Improvements
- **sales-automator stability** - repairs malformed YAML in `skills/sales-automator/SKILL.md` so the skill validates cleanly again.
- **Fork PR merge hygiene** - records the maintainer flow used to normalize PR bodies, refresh stale `pull_request` metadata, approve forked workflow runs, and keep source-only community merges moving.
- **README credit and contributor sync** - keeps community-source acknowledgements and repo contributor listings aligned immediately after each squash merge on `main`.
## Who should care
- **Frontend and design-system users** get a matched Rayden UI pair for code generation and Figma execution across React and design workflows.
- **Educators, facilitators, and event organizers** get a dedicated planning skill for puzzle-driven activities instead of piecing together ad hoc prompts.
- **Maintainers and skill-library curators** get a new diagnostic skill for spotting underperforming skills and a verified release path for a four-PR community batch.

# Maintenance Walkthrough - 2026-04-05
- Merged community PR batch `#487`, `#488`, `#489`, and `#490` on GitHub with squash, following the maintainer GitHub-only merge contract instead of local integration.
- Used the repository batch shortcut for the initial pass, then switched to the manual maintainer playbook when fork metadata drift produced stale `pr-policy` failures on reopened PRs.
- Repaired PR `#488` on the contributor branch by adding the missing `fruitwyatt/puzzle-activity-planner` source credit to `README.md`, then pushed the maintainer fix back to the fork and re-ran the fork workflows.
- Normalized PR `#490` by patching the body to include the required `## Quality Bar Checklist ✅` section, then closed and reopened it to force fresh `pull_request` checks against the updated metadata.
- Approved the pending fork workflow runs for PRs `#487` through `#490` after each reopen/push cycle so `Skills Registry CI`, `Skill Review & Optimize`, `Dependency Review`, and `CodeQL` could execute on the contributor heads.
- Ran the mandatory post-merge `npm run sync:contributors` follow-up after each successful merge and pushed the resulting README contributor-sync commits directly to `main` when the sync changed tracked files.
- Prepared the `v9.12.0` release notes in `CHANGELOG.md` to cover the Rayden UI additions, puzzle activity planning, skill diagnostics, and the `sales-automator` YAML repair before starting the release workflow.
- Closed issues `#455` and `#456` with maintainer comments explaining what a follow-up submission must include before reopening:
- concrete repo diff or implementation PR
- source-only contributor branch
